Sewing 100: Sewing Machine Basics

Have a machine that you don’t know what to do with? Can’t figure out how your bobbin should go into your machine? Curious about which is the right way to thread the top thread? What are feed dogs?!?! Want to know? Then this is the class for you. In this class we will spend time going over your machine and the basic functions of what each part does and why. At the end we will make a simple project to get used to stitching. After this class you will know!

Skill Level:  complete beginner
Supplies You Provide:  Your sewing machine and manual. Don’t have a machine? You can use one of our classroom machines.

Knitting 101: Part 1

Always wanted to learn to knit? Come and learn the fundamentals of the relaxed art of knitting. At the end of this two-session class, your new skills will include knowing how to knit, purl, cast on, and bind off with a cute pair of fingerless mitts to prove it. We provide you with needles and yarn—just bring yourself and your creative spirit!

Please arrive for class 10–15 minutes early to select your supplies.
